Hi all,thought I would get round to doing my bio.

I am new to keeping Oscars as I got my first one 4 days ago.He is, I think, a tiger and he is about 4 inches long.

He is living in my 55 Gal tank on his own.I was going to get 2 (with view to buying a bigger tank) but Ozzie kept looking at me every time I went into the store. He had been there for 2 months so I decided to take him home.

Temp of tank is 78 and Nitrites are nil,nitrates are a bit high at 30ish,(working on doing water changes frequently)
Not got a test for ammonia yet.

Currently running an Aquis Advance Canister Filter 1050 but tempted to upgrade.

I also have another tank which is a 35l but all that is in there is 3 Danios, a guppy and a baby peppermint plec.

I also have 2 greyhounds and an elderly cat.

I have always kept fish from childhood starting with goldfish,then moving on to tropicals, mostly community. I did successfully keep Discus a few years ago.They were fun.

I am also mum to 3 kids, girl of 8 and a boy of 6 and I am currently expecting baby number 3.
