thanks everyone, i am so lucky to have a group of people with oodles of info at my disposal :)
Anyway, more about my setup; i have 10 fish in my tank...
1 albino oscar named denver
1 black tiger oscar named sammy
1 ell tailed catfish named george
6 bristlenose plecostamos
and finally
1 carydoras catfish named cory (i know how original...)
i have a 50 gallon tank (212L) with a 1200 aqua one canister filter, and a heater, and an airstone.
It's a fairly new setup and last week Denver had a bit of a sulk and didn't eat or move around very much all day but he seemed to heal up by midday the next day thankfully.

Welcome to the site :fro:

50 gallon is to small for two Oscars (we recommend 55 for one) and your cory will get eaten, just to warn you before the trouble starts

Welcome to the OS. :)

Agree with Gerry, your tank is to small for all your fish.
Don't worry....Be happy.

yeah i kinda guessed that the tank was too small after i bought the fish.. as some of you might know, one of the oscars passed away. that has put me at rest because i was gonna sell an oscar when it got bigger but now i don't have to.. i know the cory will get eaten and i have some little tanks ready for the move. i'm just trying to get the big tank cycled first. besides, i'm sure he is having a fantastic adventure because he used to do laps up and back along the small tank he was in and now he has so much space, he doesn't know what to do with himself! he leaps every 5 minutes hhaahaha

Hey and welcome to the forum. I recently lost one of my oscars too. Surprisingly it was my biggest albino tiger that I lost but I know how you feel when you say you were put at ease. I felt bad because my tank was overstocked but I didn't want to give up any of my oscars. But now things are evening out and it may be for the best because the two remaining O's that belong to me will get more attention.
